I fell out of a habit I had when I settled into a job again of practicing gratitude but with the new year rolling around and a happily placed promo from the beautiful Amy over at Designing Her Life I am going to get back to making a list of things I am grateful for and sharing them with you here and on social media. So for today, here is my list of why I am grateful I took to a life of travel.
You see new places and in return gain new eyes.
It might sound cliche or overheard but it really is a great thing travel teaches you. To see the world with new eyes. I'm always amazed how every time I visit somewhere for the first time, second time or tenth time on my travels that I always see something new, experience at a heightened level and become contented.
You meet the most incredible people
... And whether you only know them for a few hours, days or weeks, they have a massive impact on your life. Some will even become lifelong friends and feel like members of your family. I am truly grateful for each and every person I have met along the way and to those I have not yet met, I can't wait to meet you.
You learn your limits
Or more accurately that you don't have as many as you thought. The only things that can limit you is the amount of money you have to spend and your own thoughts. In return for learning this you learn what you are willing to put up with and what you aren't.
You learn things you never thought you would
The places you go and people you meet teach you things you don't get sitting behind a computer. Local folklore? How a word in one language for cheers is a dirty word in another? It's all out there waiting for you.
I really do agree with this, basically when you travel you learn more of yourself because you travelled away from your comfortzone and thus makes you do things you don't usually do and you end up discovering new stuffs you didn't know about yourself!

I completely agree with you. It is true what they say, life begins at the end of your comfort zone!
