I planned on packing light, after all how much stuff do you really need to take for 48 hours of photography and exploring, and left with a list of things I wanted to make sure I saw while I was there. Vivid was fantastic. The buzz in the city as incredible as people ventured from place to place, photographing, exploring, touching, listening to all the different displays that fed as many senses at they possibly could.
Lights were bright and colourful, by all ways and means embodying the 'Vivid' title the festival suggests displays changed colour or sound frequently but on a loop so it was familiar yet new all the time the Opera House danced with animation and pattern which I consider myself fortunate enough to have seen. I didn't find the laser fountain light show on Darling Harbour very good which as disappointing but with so much else on it was hardly a let down.
My picks would be to see the Opera House and explore The Rocks. Interact with as many displays as you can and let your inner child free! This even is only on until Monday 8th June but will be back again this time next year so enjoy my pics and leave me a comment below.
Your blog is fantastic. I especially love the pictures in this post. At the moment, my fiancee and I are discussing the possibility of honeymooning in Australia.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I nominated you for a Liebster Award - http://marleyjustine.com/2015/06/08/748/
Marley
I'm happy you enjoy it Marley, I have tried to make sure my photography is en-pointe as I do love taking photos. Australia is a wonderful place and with so many sites to see would make and action packed, or highly relaxed honeymoon whichever way you want it.
DeleteThank you also for the nomination, I have had a couple now. I really ought to write a post on them. haha
