Moving Abroad : Which Australian City Suits Your Your Lifestyle?

Australia is a huge country, it can fit into Europe or North America on a map, with so much choice or where to go and what to see. But what if you want to settle somewhere for a little while? Australia's state capitals are always a good starting point and with each one being so varied from the next how do you know which one is best for you? Today I am breaking down my experience of 5 of the big cities to get you an idea of which is best for your lifestyle.

Sydney - Blue Mountains

I have wanted to see the blue mountains since discovering them, though I do feel that about a lot of places I uncover in my research hours, so getting to head out and see them with my friend Kay last month was a lovely day out. Even if the start was incredibly early. I chose a day tour for our trip, mainly due to the lack of time we had in which to see everything in Sydney and honestly was happy not to drive on this occasion.

Sydney Coffee - The Grounds of Alexandria

Oh The Grounds... I had been, how shall I put it, stalking the cafe on Instagram for quite a while before my visit so I was more than a touch excited to go. I was not disappointed. I'm not sure what I was expecting exactly, a large cafe with a bit of an outdoor area and lots of plants maybe? What I got was an Alice in Wonderland, down the rabbit hole, feast for the eyes - and soul.

Sydney - Hunter Valley

I'm not a wine connoisseur but doing a wine tour in Australia has been reasonably high on my list of things to do while I am still here and with my friend visiting for her birthday, and having a love of wine and cheese, I figured going on a tour for her birthday would be a nice treat for us both. Even if i did book it on the wrong day.

Instagrams :: May '15

May started off on a thought note for me but luckily I was reminded "You've Got This". Here is how the rest of my month looked on Instagram.

Sydney - Vivid Sydney

Heading to Sydney for Vivid was a really last minute plan for me as I hadn't even realised it was on until the weekend before I went and was in two minds about whether to go or not because of funds. In the end (aka the next day) my need for adventure won and an early flight as booked giving me almost 2 full days in Sydney.

Instagram - Sydney #ILoveSydney

If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen the above photo asking "Guess where I am". Answers on a postcard? I was in Sydney, with so many cool places to visit and Instagram. Here are the pictures I took while there.

Sydney - Hard Times and New Beginnings

You only have to read to my post last week to know saying goodbye to my travel companions broke my heart in two and maybe it was this, or maybe it was self sabotage post this event but things in Sydney seemed to be slowly getting worse for me.

Sydney - First Sight, Last Week...

After leaving Newcastle we were on our way to Sydney, the final stop of our trip down the east coast. There was definitely a solemn feeling in the air as we boarded our bus. Comments of "this will be the last bus we catch together" and reminiscing about our journey began, you could already tell the last week together was going to be a difficult one. The journey from Newcastle only took just over two hours and before we knew it the Opera House was in sight and we were driving across the Harbour Bridge towards Central Station.
